Coppice Pond April 1st & 2nd

Two things coming up 1st weekend in April at Coppice Pond!

Saturday 1st April (no its not an April fool)
At some point between 10am and 2pm a researcher from the University of Leeds will be there to take samples of sedimentation from the lake. Looking for fall out of volcanic ash originating from Iceland. Their small working party will be using an inflatable probably in the shallow end as they only want to take core samples to a depth of 50cm.

Sunday 2nd April 10.00am.
All members are invited to attend a working party at Coppice Pond.
This will be the fifth of a series.
All welcome, the more bodies we can get involved the quicker the work can be done and planting completed.
There’s some fencing and planting to do.
The fruits of our previous labours are now showing with shrubs in bud and bluebells coming through, where they have been protected.
