This water contains a large head of Barbel, with the Yorkshire Record caught from here by A Thomas at 15lb 8oz a few years ago
Also caught was a 14lb 15oz Barbel by Club Chairman Paul Kitching .
It also contains some large Chub and some very large Perch. Other species include Dace, Roach, Eels, Pike, Carp, Grayling

Entrance is via Leys Lane off the A659 after the main roundabout into Boston Spa.
Approaching Boston Spa on A659 Tadcaster road from the A1.
Pass the welcome to Boston Spa signs.
Turn Left at first minor cross road junction into Leys Lane (right turn opposite is signposted Clifford).
Follow this tarmac lane (changes to gravel track) to the farm at the very end.
Park in ‘orchard’ on the left hand side just before farm buildings.
The stile from the car park gives access down the field to the bottom end of the weir pool (we do not have the weir length any more) .
Please observe the upper limit, which is the bottom end of the concrete and stone wall below the weir (see photo) DO NOT cross the fence line.
For bottom length , walk across the yard at the rear of the dutch barn opposite and follow the field side for access to the lower lengths.
