Work Party, Coppice Pond. Bingley angling club

Work is continuing at Coppice pond to improve the bankside environment. In an effort to combat erosion from visitors and assist growth of vegetation, more fencing has been erected and shrubs planted. More work is yet to be done, Next work party is on Sunday 12th March, all welcome to attend and lend a hand from 10am onwards. More pictures are available in the gallery.

Coppice Pond Work Parties Jan 2017

All members are invited to attend a working party at Coppice Pond, Sunday 8th January 10.00am. This will be the first of a series over the next few months,  This one is to start on the next section of fencing, to protect new planting on the banksides. All welcome, the more bodies we can get involved the quicker the work can be done and planting completed. Further work parties will be announced here and on the clubs official Facebook page, they are expected to be every three weeks until the work is completed. Habitat Improvement at East Riddlesden Hall

The Wild Trout Trust obtained funding from Yorkshire Water to improve fish habitat on lengths of river which were leased from or adjacent to Water Authority property and Jonathan Grey who is their Research and Conservation Officer contacted local angling clubs early this year in search of suitable projects. As at least some of the East Riddlesden Hall length lies opposite Marley sewage works, we put it forward for consideration. Bingley Angling Club AGM 2016

This years AGM will start at 8.00pm prompt on Tuesday 15th November 2016.  At The Ryshworth Club, Crossflatts, Binlgley BD16 2HB. All proposals must be submitted in writing to the club secretary by Monday 31st October, along with details of the proposer and seconder. The meeting will be followed with a pie & peas supper  😀 If you are the holder of any previous trophies they need to be returned to the club before the start of the meeting.
