Coppice pond weed

An attempt will be made to reduce the weed problem at Coppice Pond. There will be a work party on the evening of Tuesday 7th June, all welcome. Meet at 6pm on the bank, waders or wellies would be helpful but not essential. Rakes and wheelbarrows may be useful. The more bodies helping, the easier and quicker the job will be.

Can You Help?

Improvements to your angling environment at Coppice Pond. The aim is to complete fencing around the far side of the pond, creating enclosed areas to protect planting of new shrubs. When completed it should help prevent unnecessary access to the water in the areas where the vegetation has been trampled and stripped leaving naked banks. Access to pegs will be maintained. AGM Tuesday 10th Nov 2015

This years AGM will start at 8.00pm prompt on Tuesday 10th November 2015 at The Ryshworth Club, Crossflatts, Binlgley BD16 2HB All proposals must be submitted in writing to the club secretary by Saturday 31st October, along with details of the proposer and seconder. The meeting will be followed with a pie & peas supper 🙂  

Poaching

It would seem poaching is on the increase. 6lb 10oz Aire Trout

Brown trout from bingley angling club controlled stretch of the River Aire

A 6lb 10oz Brown Trout caught from the River Aire by Charlie Dine this morning. This was the largest fish of the session, with a couple of other decent trout and a small barbel. A bigger barbel got away! All fish fell to casters  

Meet us at Bingley Show 25th July

Come along and meet us at Bingley show on Saturday 25th July. We will be down next to the river near the old paddling pool by the top of the island. We will have a small display of photographs showing fish caught from Bingley waters and yearbooks will be available to purchase on the day (cash only please) There will be live demonstrations from a number of exhibitors on various aspects of angling.
