Meet us at Bingley Show 25th July

Come along and meet us at Bingley show on Saturday 25th July. We will be down next to the river near the old paddling pool by the top of the island. We will have a small display of photographs showing fish caught from Bingley waters and yearbooks will be available to purchase on the day (cash only please) There will be live demonstrations from a number of exhibitors on various aspects of angling. Thieves At St. Ives

Would all members please note that we have had two reports of thefts of items from vehicles parked on the estate (both have been vans) over the last couple of weeks. So please don’t leave anything valuable in your vehicle while it’s parked at St. Ives.

Venue Change for this Sundays’ Match

This Sundays’ match, previously publicised as being at Eldwick Compensation Reservoir will now be held at Settler Dam, draw 9am. The Match Secretary apologises for the late notice and for any inconvenience caused, call him on 07971 428678 to book a peg.

The Riverfly Partnership Update

I have just re-posted the post on river fly monitor training which originally appeared here on July 2nd 2013, as we have good news on this subject. Our original post attracted some interest and a large enough group of volunteers committed themselves for training to enable David to try and secure funding for the course and equipment needed by volunteers in order to collect their samples. At the time it was hoped that this funding would come from The National Lottery Commission who had previously provided funding for training of monitors on the Wharfe, unfortunately funds proved unavailable.
