There will be a work party at Coppice Pond on Sunday 25th March.
If you want to see restocking take place within the next 12 months, please step forward and help us get the work done now.
The plan is to make improvements and protection so that aquatic plants can be re-introduced safely away from the ravages of the geese.
This will provide shelter for the fish from predators and spawning habitat to allow the fish to breed more successfully.
We would also like to do some restocking, but we do not want to do this until we know there is a higher degree of safety for the fish, giving them a better chance of survival.
Members are invited to lend a hand as this is quite a large task.
The party will be meeting at the pond at 10.00am. Those wanting to lend a hand would be advised to bring waders if possible as some of the work is water based.
Please note – there may be some disruption to angling in the areas where the works are being undertaken so do be aware of this when setting of for the days fishing!
