The Wild Trout Trust obtained funding from Yorkshire Water to improve fish habitat on lengths of river which were leased from or adjacent to Water Authority property and Jonathan Grey who is their Research and Conservation Officer contacted local angling clubs early this year in search of suitable projects. As at least some of the East Riddlesden Hall length lies opposite Marley sewage works, we put it forward for consideration. This years AGM will start at 8.00pm prompt on Tuesday 15th November 2016. At The Ryshworth Club, Crossflatts, Binlgley BD16 2HB. All proposals must be submitted in writing to the club secretary by Monday 31st October, along with details of the proposer and seconder. The meeting will be followed with a pie & peas supper 😀 If you are the holder of any previous trophies they need to be returned to the club before the start of the meeting.

Date for your diaries! Tuesday 2nd August 5.30pm onwards – Working party at Coppice Pond. All welcome – your help will be appreciated. A number of jobs to do, The primary one being restoration of the two missing floating islands that mark off the fish refuges. If anyone is keen on and good at fibreglass repairs, we could do with the boat fixing up in advance of the day. It has a small hole in the hull and takes on a little water. An attempt will be made to reduce the weed problem at Coppice Pond. There will be a work party on the evening of Tuesday 7th June, all welcome. Meet at 6pm on the bank, waders or wellies would be helpful but not essential. Rakes and wheelbarrows may be useful. The more bodies helping, the easier and quicker the job will be.
Teapot Dam will be closed to members on Saturday April 23rd to allow location shooting for scenes from God’s Own Country, a new feature film which is set in and around Keighley. Now changed from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd April
